This is a league for all Fort Collins Pickleball Club members regardless of skill or experience. Note that we will start at 5:30 (not 5:15, as was stated earlier). You can arrive early to warm up.
We are reducing the registration fee anticipating that there will be weather cancellations, so there will be no weather refunds.
It is a ladder league, which means that you will be playing with players of a similar ability (at least after a couple of weeks of settling in). If you get better, you will move up to a better court. If you have a bad week, you may move down a bit! This league will use your DUPR score to seed starting courts. If you don't know about DUPR, we will explain it the first night.
You will play a game to 11 (win by 1) with each person on your starting court (3 games total). The person with the most points will move up a court and the person with the least points will move down a court. There will be 2 rounds of 3 games each night.
We will have roll call at 5:30, followed by court assignments and the start of play, so if you want some time to warm up, please show up before that time.
Each league session is 4 weeks. You are signing up for all 4 weeks!
If something comes up at the last minute, YOU NEED TO FIND A SUB SO YOU DON'T LEAVE 3 OTHER PEOPLE STRANDED! Ideally, it will be someone of your same ability level. If you are having trouble, check the waitlist on the Club website.
If you want to sign up as a league helper for the month, please email Scott Putnam at sputnam@focopb.club. If you do, you need to be sure that you can be there, hand out the score cards, pick them up and report the scores to DUPR. It should only take about 1/2 hour of your time.
